About The Owner

I never in my wildest dreams would imagine this is where I'd be today.

Hi! I'm Sabrina Ganschow and I am the founder and owner of Wilma’s Cakes LLC.

 

When I graduated I left my little ol' hometown and moved out west to the beautiful state of Colorado, where I lived for 3 years. Here is where I attended Pastry School, worked for an amazing family owned Gluten Free bakery, but I realized that while I was having the time of my life, I didn't have the people I loved there to share it with me. I packed up my things and made the trip back to the breathtaking Midwest. 

A Step Back to the Start

I started my Freshman year of High School just as scared as everyone else, except I seemed to be sick a lot more often. I had been going to doctors for almost 2 years by now and nothing was seeming to change, until finally. After 8 doctors and 3 years, in 2012 I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. Celiac Disease is an Auto-Immune Disease that makes it impossible to digest gluten. Now years down the road it is crazy to look back on how sick I really was but I am blessed to be where I am today. 

 

I passionately believe that everyone deserves cake on their birthday and this is one of the main reasons I founded this bakery.

When I'm not baking I LOVE to travel, hike, snowboard, and spend time with my friends & family. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, singing, and reading any James Patterson book.
